It may not have the ultra HD screen, or SD card slot we were hoping for, but it's still an improvement over the first version of the tablet, in hardware and software.
The main, among both, being the new Apple A5 chip, a dual-core processor like in Xoom and PlayBook,
and both, a front-facing camera for FaceTime chat and a rare-facing camera.
Physically, the hardware has been redesigned in the typical Apple way - ever thinner, in this case whittled down to 8.88mm thick, which is even thinner than the iPhone 4, and lighter down, from 1.5 to 1.3 pounds.
